Are you living your best life? Think about what that question means before you answer it.
Recently a friend and I drove 22 hours from Florida to Kansas. Needless to say, there was plenty of time to talk and think. We listened to an audible book then talked about it. We read articles and then thought to ourselves about them. The road trip was fun, spontaneous, and of course long. It was also inspiring for the both of us. Although, it was difficult for me to have and enjoy my several cups of tea in a day. Ahhh, I digress.
We loved the freedom of doing the things we enjoyed doing when we wanted to do them. Like stopping in a random city and shopping at local stores or getting a mani-pedi in the middle of the day. We were able to do all these things because we worked in all our accountabilities around these things. We worked hard for a few hours and then took pleasure in the joys of life.
After having experience life without pressure for those few days, we were addicted. We decided this was the life we wanted! The ability to get things done on our time and without the pressure of anyone else controlling how we did that.
Have you thought about that question? Are you living your best life? Are you doing what it is you love? I'm talking about doing the work that excites you and makes you happy. Living your life every day the way you dreamt about it. Being completely liberated of the forever changing social standards of our economy and professional expectations of the traditional ways of doing business. Living your best life means living a life where you are in complete control of what you do, when you do it, and how you want to do it. Living your best life doesn't require being one of the wealthiest people in the world or a famous celebrity. It means having the courage to be whom ever you want to be and even more of all that you can be.
James Clear said, "You can either be judged because you created something or ignored because you left your greatness inside of you." All of us have what we need to succeed and be great. Let all your greatness out and live the best life for you. Defeat fear and take a leap of faith towards the thing that will put a smile on your face everyday. Don't allow the opinions of others to discourage you from starting that business or writing that book. It's your life and you are the only one who controls what is controllable in your life.
Your dreams and aspirations are special and sacred to you. Let them be the fuel to the fire that stays burning inside of you. Allow all the gifts and talents you were born with to be stepping stones to the lifestyle you want. Don't take the "norm" as the only way to achieving liberation and success. James Clear goes on to say that, "too often, we let our fears and emotions prevent us from sharing our work with others." Go on and share your greatness!
For some us, our dreams are what keeps us going each day. The hope and desire to manifest the things we love and care about is enough to defeat fear. The more you defeat fear the more faith you have. The more faith you have the more you will do and the more you will believe that which you set out to do will happen. It's strength training for the mind and spirit.
You don't have to do this alone. Surround yourself with friends and a support system that aligns with your morals and ethics in life. Individuals that believe in you and will encourage you when you are down but push you when fall short. You do this for each other. Because living your best life can be lonely if you are alone and or not helping others to do the same.
Shared over a cup of tea,
